A BIT ABOUT MYSELF

Born and raised in South Africa, my love for food started in my grandmother’s kitchen—where old-fashioned, honest cooking met my grandfather’s Italian flair. Their influence shaped the way I see food: as something to be shared, celebrated, and deeply enjoyed.

My kitchen journey wasn’t planned—it was more of a happy accident. But from the moment I stepped into a professional kitchen, I was hooked. The camaraderie, the organized chaos of service, the thrill of creating something meaningful on a plate—it all became my world.

I started my career in a small town in The Overberg, then took a bold leap and spent ten years in Australia, falling in love with its vibrant flavors and incredible fresh produce. My travels have shaped my cooking, and right now, I’m soaking up the beauty and flavors of The Netherlands—yet another country that amazes me with its food culture.

As a chef, I see myself as an artist with a structured mind—I love planning, perfecting techniques, and bringing visions to life. But beyond that, I’m a mum to three amazing grown kids, a grandmother to three wonderful little ones, and a firm believer that good food should be accessible to everyone—whether you’re a first-time home cook, a busy parent out of meal ideas, or a restaurant looking for solutions.

This site is my way of sharing two decades of professional kitchen experience with you—helping you cook with confidence, embrace flavors, and create honest, delicious food in a warm, welcoming space.

Let’s make cooking fun, inspiring, and just a little bit magical.
